As an advisor at Blue Heron Capital, Joel is constantly striving to evaluate tools and strategies to prepare personalized, comprehensive retirement planning solutions for our clients. He works to find better ways to create and present ideas to the clients we work with to assure they are comfortable with their future.
Joel has always had a passion for two things – teaching and math. That led him to discover, while attending Colorado State University, that Financial Planning was his calling. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Planning and Investment Analysis. He holds a Colorado Life and Health Insurance License and the Series 65 Securities License. Joel is also a member of the National Ethics Association.
While in college, Joel completed an internship at Northwestern Mutual where he learned planning techniques and client relationship skills.
When not focused on financial planning, Joel enjoys teaching trumpet lessons to high school students, playing Frisbee, and spending time with family and friends.
